Sunday Morning is a short horror script I wrote with the intention of filming for the Chiller channel’s Dare2Direct contest. The previous year the limit was 6 minutes for the short film so I wrote this using that time as a baseline. Turns out the year I wanted to enter they cut the running to 2 minutes.
Sunday Morning marks my first real effort at writing a fiction piece that had some commercial viability. Have I shopped it around? Not yet. Will I? I don’t know–perhaps based on your feedback I will.
Happy Reading
Nice story. Couple of spelling errors, nothing major though. Nice take on the Zombie perspective. In the beginning, I felt just as disoriented as the NARRATOR did, but as the story progressed, it all came into view. Good piece.
(SPOILERS!!)
I like the way the narrator can’t read the signs, that they appear to him as a sort of recognizable gibberish. There’s precious little out there on the zombie point of view–It’s interesting to think of them retaining a lot of their humanity, with their perceptions of their reality skewed.
